Virginia Mortgage Relief Program

Struggling to pay your mortgage due to COVID-19?

No-cost assistance is available for Virginia homeowners.

VMRP will no longer accept new applications effective October 1, 2023.

Homeowners experiencing mortgage payment delinquency due to a financial hardship because of COVID-19, may be eligible for relief through the Virginia Mortgage Relief Program.

Eligible applications will be processed based on remaining available funds, with applicants at risk of foreclosure taking priority.

The maximum amount of assistance to eligible Virginia homeowners is now $50,000 with no cap on the number of months past due.

Some of our Virginia customers have successfully applied for mortgage relief funds and have received those funds to pay all - or a significant portion of - their past-due mortgage payments.
