If the current government shutdown affects you, we may be able to help.
This government shutdown began at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday October 1. It's impossible to predict how long it will last. The shortest shutdown lasted just a single day, while the longest one lasted more than a month.
Two Important things that our customers need to understand about the shutdown:
- A government shutdown has no direct impact on our bank’s operations. We are open for business as usual and are fully functional no matter what is happening in the nation’s capital. Your FDIC-insured deposits remain fully protected.
- The Bank of Marion stands ready to assist any customer affected by this shutdown.
We want to help our customers weather a long-term shutdown if they need such assistance. How to get started:
- Talk to us. We are in the business of serving our customers, especially when unexpected hardship strikes, but we can only help if we are aware of your financial challenge.
- Depending on your individual circumstances, we may be able to offer a range of customer assistance options, including fee waivers, loan modifications, payment deadline extensions, and low-rate loans as well as other accommodations.
- If you are a homeowner, reach out to us to see what options may be available during the shutdown to help with your mortgage payments.
We hope this government shutdown will end soon, but if it doesn’t, we will assist our customers as much as we can to help you weather the storm.
